Rémi Racine was appointed to the CBC/Radio-Canada Board of Directors on October 12, 2007 for a four-year term.

Rémi Racine has been Chairman of the Board and CEO & Executive Producer of Artificial Mind & Movement (A2M), the leading independent video game developer in Canada and an award-winning interactive multimedia business, since 1999. From 1996 to 1999, he held the position of Executive Producer and General Manager at Behaviour Interactive, a platform game producing company that Mr. Racine eventually acquired. In 1994, Mr. Racine co-founded MMI MultiMedia Interactif, a CD-ROM entertainment maker, where he served as Vice-President, Finance and Development, before selling the company in 1996.

Prior to his experience in new media, Mr. Racine was involved in the real estate management and investment fields for several years. He began his career as a Special Project and Real Estate Manager, and later Administration Director at Les Consultants CRS, a successful General Contractor and Engineering and Electrical-Mechanical Consulting firm.

Mr. Racine holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Major in Administration, Finance and Real Estate) from Université du Québec à Montréal.

Mr. Racine is completing his third term as President of Alliance NumériQC, a coalition of 250 organisations that form a multimedia and numeric interactive content business network. He is also a member of the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences, and of the Board of Directors of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal. He is actively engaged in many charitable organizations, as well.

Mr. Racine and his wife, Maud Leclerc, have two children.
