“I want to encourage the people who join us to respect who we are while at the same time instigating change. I need people who are interested in why we do what we do. It is not just leading edge, it is technology with purpose.”
What do you do?
I ask a lot of questions. I want to understand the benefits and the threats of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence. My job is to pick a point on the horizon and try to keep us moving forward together.
What do you look for in team members?
I want people who are curious, achievement-oriented, passionate and genuinely fun to work with. I want innovators and builders who see themselves as being part of our mission to tell the stories of Canadians. I want to encourage the people who join us to respect who we are while at the same time instigating change. I need people who are interested in why we do what we do. It is not just leading edge, it is technology with purpose.
What makes CBC/Radio Canada a great place to work?

What’s the one thing someone who works here is going to find professionally satisfying?
We’ve got a new CEO, a new Board of Directors and we are shaping our next strategy and mandate. The future isn’t written yet. There’s a complexity here on a scale that most people will never encounter in their careers. This is the place to channel your commitment and your passion. Bring your best and together we will make you better.
