“CBC/Radio-Canada is an important piece of the quilt that makes up our Canadian identity and history. It means something to be part of it. There’s also a lot of opportunity for development. In-house training, specialized leadership courses and collaboration with various departments on special projects, it all makes for great variety in the day to day.”

What do you do?

I have oversight of departmental operations. That’s everything from the coordination of strategy sessions and large scale interactive meetings to coordinating Access to Information requests and our department’s submissions for the Board of Directors. I also get to lead files such as the diversity and inclusion activities for the department, acting on the new three-year diversification plan published on our website in September.

How has your career developed here?

I have exposure to so many areas of the business. I touch on many different files in the course of the week and it’s never the same thing twice. This variety means my network within the Corporation is broad, and allows me to gain experience and knowledge in many different files and subjects.

What makes CBC/Radio Canada a great place to work?
